Bradley Cooper Breaks Silence on Plastic Surgery Rumours and Clears the Air

Date:

Hollywood star Bradley Cooper has finally addressed long-running speculation surrounding his appearance and whether he has ever undergone cosmetic surgery. The 51-year-old actor spoke candidly about the rumours during a recent appearance on the popular SmartLess podcast, hosted by Jason Bateman Sean Hayes and Will Arnett. The conversation offered fans a rare and honest insight into how Cooper views public scrutiny and online gossip about his looks.

During the podcast episode Will Arnett recalled being frequently asked to reveal something people do not know about Bradley Cooper. Arnett shared that many assume Cooper has had plastic surgery but insisted that the assumption is completely false. Jason Bateman echoed the sentiment reinforcing that Cooper has never gone under the knife. Hearing his co-stars defend him Bradley stepped in to clarify the situation himself stating that he has noticed an increase in comments about his appearance recently but found the speculation surprising and exaggerated.

Cooper explained that strangers have been approaching him over the past few weeks complimenting how he looks which he finds flattering yet confusing given the persistent rumours. He acknowledged that public figures are often subject to baseless theories online and admitted that the constant speculation can be frustrating. Will Arnett also expressed annoyance at how confidently people claim to know private details about celebrities without facts describing such gossip as misleading and unnecessary.

The plastic surgery chatter gained momentum after Bradley Cooper appeared at the 2025 New York Film Festival where his directorial project Is This Thing On? premiered. Photos from the red carpet showing Cooper alongside co-stars Will Arnett and Laura Dern quickly circulated on social media. Many users speculated that the actor had undergone cosmetic procedures such as a facelift despite no evidence supporting the claims.

This marks the first time Cooper has directly responded to rumours about surgical enhancements. In the past he addressed criticism related to his role as legendary composer Leonard Bernstein in the 2023 film Maestro where he wore a prosthetic nose. At the time Cooper clarified that the prosthetic was designed with great care and respect and closely resembled Bernstein’s natural features rather than altering his own identity.

Outside of his professional life Bradley Cooper has also been in the spotlight for his personal relationships and is currently linked with supermodel Gigi Hadid. Professionally he remains busy promoting Is This Thing On? a drama centered on a couple facing marital challenges and personal reinvention through stand-up comedy. By speaking openly about the rumours Cooper has reaffirmed his stance on authenticity and highlighted the pressures that come with fame in the digital age.
