Visitors planning a trip to Palm Jumeirah should note that the Palm Monorail has temporarily suspended all services due to ongoing maintenance until further notice. The elevated monorail, a key public transport link from Palm Gateway in Dubai Media City to Atlantis Aquaventure, will not operate during this period. Known for offering scenic views across the iconic Palm Jumeirah, the full journey takes nine minutes with approximately three minutes between each station stop, including Palm Jumeirah Mall.
Passengers are advised to use alternative transport options while the monorail is offline. Dubai Tram services and selected bus routes can bring commuters to Palm Gateway, from where taxis or personal vehicles can be used to access Palm Jumeirah. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has confirmed that updates will be provided once monorail operations resume.
In addition, the RTA has implemented major improvements to Dubai’s bus network, with four new routes launching in Al Satwa and Al Wasl areas starting Friday January 9. Over 70 existing routes will also see enhancements to timetables, stops, and frequency, improving connectivity and convenience for commuters across the city.
