Brooklyn Beckham has publicly addressed his ongoing family dispute, sharing details about a failed attempt to reconcile with his father David Beckham during a recent visit to London. The 26-year-old revealed that he travelled to the UK hoping to mend relationships and spend time with his father around his birthday, but claims his efforts were repeatedly rejected.
According to Brooklyn, the tension stems from what he describes as long-term disrespect shown toward his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham. He alleged that despite multiple attempts to resolve issues privately, the situation worsened when his parents declined to meet the couple during their London stay. Brooklyn stated that he and Nicola waited for days without success, with his father only willing to meet under highly restrictive conditions.
Brooklyn further claimed that when a meeting was finally offered, it came with the request that Nicola should not attend. He described this condition as deeply hurtful and said it reinforced feelings of exclusion and disrespect toward his marriage. The meeting was reportedly limited to David Beckham’s large birthday celebration, which Brooklyn felt was unsuitable due to media presence and lack of privacy.
Taking to social media, Brooklyn explained that his silence over the years was intentional in an effort to protect family matters from public scrutiny. However, he said ongoing media narratives forced him to speak out and clarify his position. He emphasized that his decision to speak was about standing up for himself and his wife rather than being influenced by anyone else.
Brooklyn also made it clear that reconciliation is no longer something he is pursuing at this stage.
