Indian rapper Badshah is ready to make history as he joins the NBA All Star Celebrity Game this month in California. The global basketball league confirmed the news through its official social media channels announcing Badshah as the first Indian rapper to participate in the star-studded event. The appearance follows Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh who has previously taken part in the celebrity game.
Badshah will play for Team Anthony Anderson which is coached by actor and comedian Anthony Anderson. His teammates include Hollywood actor Simu Liu Olympic sprinter Andre De Grasse content creator Cody Jones musician Mustard NBA executive Mat Ishbia and several other well-known personalities from sports music and entertainment. The opposing team will feature names such as Jeremy Lin Keegan Michael Key GloRilla Tacko Fall Dylan Wang and Amon Ra St Brown with NBA stars and athletes serving as coaches.
The NBA All Star Celebrity Game will take place at the Kia Forum in Inglewood California on Friday February 13 at 7 pm ET which translates to early morning Saturday February 14 at 5 30 am IST for Indian viewers. The match will be broadcast live on ESPN and fans in India can stream it through Prime Video and NBA League Pass on the official NBA App.
Badshah has been increasingly visible on the global stage and recently attended the NBA Abu Dhabi Games alongside Ranveer Singh and international celebrities. After his NBA appearance the rapper is set to headline a major concert at Londons iconic The O2 arena on March 22 marking another milestone in his international music journey.
