Tecno is gearing up to expand its mid range smartphone portfolio in India with the upcoming Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G. Positioned as the next generation model after the Pova Curve 5G launched in 2025 the new handset is set to bring noticeable upgrades in design display performance and battery life. The company has already confirmed several details ahead of launch while leaks and reports have filled in the gaps around its specifications.
The Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G will officially debut in India on February 13 at 12 pm IST. While Tecno has not yet clarified whether the launch will be a full scale online event or a soft announcement the phone is expected to go live across the brand’s digital platforms around the same time. With just days to go anticipation is building among buyers looking for a feature packed 5G smartphone at an affordable price point.
In terms of pricing the Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G is likely to be positioned between Rs 15000 and Rs 20000 in India. This would keep it competitive in the crowded mid range segment and closely aligned with the pricing strategy of its predecessor. Once launched the smartphone is expected to be sold via Flipkart along with select offline retail stores across the country.
Design remains one of the highlights of the upcoming device. Tecno has confirmed that the Pova Curve 2 5G will follow its Space 2.0 design philosophy featuring a slim 7.4mm body and a curved rear panel with a matte finish. The refreshed camera module adopts a bold triangular asymmetrical layout while the power button gets a contrasting orange accent. The handset will be available in black silver and violet colour options giving users multiple style choices.
On the front the smartphone is expected to sport a 6.78 inch curved AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution. Reports suggest a high 144Hz refresh rate along with eye comfort features promising smooth scrolling and reduced strain during long usage sessions. Narrow bezels further enhance the immersive viewing experience.
Under the hood the Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G is tipped to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. The device is expected to ship with HiOS based on the latest Android version and will include AI driven features such as intelligent noise cancellation and performance optimisation tools.
Camera duties on the Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G are expected to be handled by a triple rear camera setup highlighted by a 50 megapixel primary sensor. This would be a shift from the dual camera arrangement seen on the previous model. On the battery front Tecno is making a bold claim with an 8000mAh battery supported by 45W fast charging. The company suggests major gains in internet usage video playback and standby time compared to the earlier generation making it a strong option for power users.
