At the ABP Network Ideas of India Summit 2026 in Mumbai Shah Rukh Khan expressed deep admiration for Paralympic champions Avani Lekhara and Praveen Kumar praising their determination resilience and positive spirit. The actor said he attended the event not merely to present honours but to draw inspiration from athletes who embody courage and enthusiasm.
Speaking on stage he described courage and enthusiasm as the two essential “vitamins” needed in everyday life. Referring to the para athletes he highlighted that true bravery is not the absence of challenges but the strength to overcome them despite obstacles. He added that watching such sportspersons compete feels like witnessing “courage in motion” and remarked that he wanted to take back with him an “injection of courage and enthusiasm” from their journeys.
Alongside the Paralympic stars he also applauded the India Under 19 cricket team for clinching the 2026 World Cup title. He noted that the applause offered to these champions should not be about motivating them further but about thanking them for inspiring others. According to him their dedication sacrifice and passion serve as life lessons that audiences can carry beyond the event and apply in their own lives.
On the film front Shah Rukh Khan is preparing for his upcoming project King directed by Siddharth Anand. The film will feature Deepika Padukone Suhana Khan Abhishek Bachchan Arshad Warsi and Anil Kapoor. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures the movie is slated for a 2026 release. He was last seen in Dunki directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
