Smartphone maker Vivo has confirmed the launch date for its upcoming mid range smartphone Vivo T5x 5G in India. The new device will officially debut on March 17 at 12pm IST and will join the brand’s popular T series lineup as the successor to Vivo T4x 5G which was introduced in 2025.
According to the company the smartphone will be available for purchase after launch through Flipkart the official Vivo India online store and authorised offline retail outlets across the country.
One of the biggest highlights of the new handset is its large 7200mAh battery which Vivo claims will be the biggest battery capacity available in its price segment. The company says the battery is designed to deliver extended usage allowing users to enjoy gaming streaming and browsing for longer periods without needing to recharge frequently. Reports suggest the smartphone will support 44W fast charging technology.
The device will also focus on durability and protection. It is expected to feature both IP68 and IP69 ratings which provide resistance against dust and water making the smartphone more durable for everyday usage.
Powering the phone will be the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo chipset which is designed to deliver strong performance for multitasking gaming and everyday smartphone activities. The company has revealed that the handset has achieved an impressive benchmark score of more than one million points on AnTuTu Benchmark.
On the software side the upcoming smartphone will run OriginOS 6 which is based on Android 16 offering the latest software features and system improvements.
Vivo has hinted that the device will fall under the Rs 23000 price segment in India and the company has even described it as one of the fastest smartphones available in that price category as of early March 2026.
More details including full specifications features and availability are expected to be revealed during the official launch event scheduled for March 17.
