Chinese smartphone brand Poco has officially introduced its latest budget smartphone in India with the launch of the Poco C85x 5G. The new handset joins the company’s C series lineup and brings several notable features including a large battery a high refresh rate display and 5G connectivity at an affordable price.
The smartphone will be available for purchase starting March 14 at 12 pm IST through Flipkart. It comes in three colour options including Black Gold and Green and is offered in two storage configurations.
The base model of the Poco C85x 5G features 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and is priced at Rs 10999 in India. Meanwhile the higher variant offering 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage carries a price tag of Rs 11999.
In terms of design the device sports a large 6.9 inch HD Plus display with AdaptiveSync technology supporting a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The screen also delivers a touch sampling rate of 240Hz and peak brightness reaching 800 nits. It comes with certifications from TÜV Rheinland for low blue light flicker free viewing and circadian friendly display technology.
Powering the smartphone is the Unisoc T8300 octa core chipset which operates at a maximum clock speed of 2.2GHz. The processor is paired with a Mali G57 GPU along with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. Users can expand storage further up to 2TB through a microSD card.
For photography the Poco C85x 5G features a dual rear camera setup highlighted by a 32 megapixel primary sensor capable of offering up to 10x digital zoom. On the front the device houses an 8 megapixel camera designed for selfies and video calls.
One of the biggest highlights of the phone is its massive 6300mAh battery which the company claims can deliver up to two days of usage on a single charge. The device supports 15W wired charging and also offers 7.5W reverse wired charging allowing users to power other devices when needed.
The handset runs on HyperOS based on Android 16. Connectivity features include 5G 4G LTE Wi Fi 5 Bluetooth 5.4 GPS a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type C port. The smartphone also includes sensors such as an accelerometer proximity sensor ambient light sensor compass and fingerprint scanner.
With its large battery big display and affordable price point the Poco C85x 5G aims to attract users looking for a budget friendly smartphone with modern features and long battery life.
