Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Rumored to Feature Dimensity 9400 Chipset; Expected to Launch with Sleek Design

Date:

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is rumored to come with a 6.7-inch display, similar to the recently launched Fan Edition smartphone. The upcoming device, expected in 2025, may be powered by MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9400 chipset, instead of Samsung’s own Exynos processor. Reports from a South Korean publication suggest that the Galaxy S25 FE might feature a slimmer design and a larger battery with reduced thickness.

This new model will likely launch in the third quarter of 2025, later than the expected release of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra in early 2025.

According to The Elec, Samsung is considering a thinner form factor for the Galaxy S25 FE, with the same 6.7-inch screen as the Galaxy S24 FE. This design aims to increase battery area while reducing its thickness. Meanwhile, there are also rumors about Apple working on a slim iPhone 17 Air (or iPhone 17 Slim) for next year.

Tipster @jukanlosreve posted on X that Samsung was initially negotiating with MediaTek to use the Dimensity chip in the Galaxy S25 series but has now shifted these plans to the Galaxy S25 FE. The Galaxy S25 series will reportedly use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, expected to be announced by Qualcomm in early 2025. This suggests the Galaxy S25 FE might arrive with MediaTek’s powerful chipset, a shift from the Galaxy S24 FE’s Exynos 2400e processor.
