In a recent interview the actor expressed his admiration for the film highlighting its scale storytelling and technical brilliance.
Holland revealed that the movie stands out as one of the most remarkable projects he has ever been part of. He emphasized that the film features breathtaking sequences created using practical effects rather than heavy reliance on computer generated visuals. According to him several scenes felt so unreal that he initially assumed they were created using CGI only to later learn they were filmed using real in camera techniques.
The actor noted that audiences can expect something truly unique with The Odyssey as Nolan has combined large scale action with an emotionally engaging narrative. He described the experience of watching the film as surprising and inspiring even for someone directly involved in its production. Holland also expressed gratitude for being part of the project calling it one of the proudest moments of his acting career.
Alongside this major release Holland is also working on the next installment in the Spider Man franchise titled Spider Man Brand New Day. The actor confirmed that he is currently filming additional scenes in London for the highly anticipated sequel which is set to release on July 31 just weeks after The Odyssey arrives in theaters on July 17.
Holland explained that the additional filming is not due to any issues with the film but rather an effort to enhance it further. He described the process as adding extra layers including humor and new elements to the storyline particularly around the villain arc making the movie even more entertaining for audiences.
Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has long supported this flexible approach to filmmaking often referred to as refining and improving scenes throughout production. This method allows filmmakers and actors to continuously elevate the final product by incorporating new ideas during and after filming.
