Oppo has officially introduced the new Oppo A6k 5G smartphone in China, expanding its A-series lineup with a feature-packed device aimed at mid-range users. The smartphone arrives in multiple variants, offering different RAM and storage combinations along with stylish colour options.
The Oppo A6k 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. This combination ensures smooth performance for everyday usage, multitasking, and moderate gaming.
On the display front, the device features a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD panel with a resolution of 720×1570 pixels. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate, providing a fluid scrolling and gaming experience. The screen is capable of reaching up to 1125 nits of peak brightness, making it suitable for outdoor visibility.
In terms of photography, the Oppo A6k 5G is equipped with a dual rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with autofocus and a 2-megapixel monochrome lens. The camera system supports up to 10x digital zoom. For selfies and video calls, the phone houses an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
The smartphone runs on ColorOS 15.0 and supports dual SIM functionality. Connectivity options include 5G support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and a USB Type-C port. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock for security.
Durability is another highlight, as the Oppo A6k 5G comes with IP69, IP68, and IP66 ratings for dust and water resistance, making it a rugged choice in its segment. Additional sensors include an ambient light sensor, accelerometer, proximity sensor, and electronic compass.
One of the standout features of the device is its large 7,000mAh battery, which supports 45W SuperVOOC fast charging. This ensures extended usage and quick top-ups when needed. The phone weighs 216 grams and has a slim profile despite its large battery capacity.
In China, the Oppo A6k 5G starts at CNY 1,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. Higher configurations such as 8GB + 512GB and 12GB + 256GB are priced at CNY 2,199 and CNY 2,399 respectively. The smartphone is available in Dawn Gold, Seashell White, and Twilight Blue colour options.
