Netflix has officially confirmed the production of a new K-drama, The Wonderfools, starring the talented Park Eun Bin and Cha Eun Woo. This much-anticipated superhero comedy series promises to be a delightful addition to Netflix’s extensive K-drama catalog. The show features an eclectic mix of characters, portraying a quirky group of townsfolk who unexpectedly gain superpowers.
In addition to Park Eun Bin and Cha Eun Woo, the cast includes esteemed actors Kim Hae Sook, Choi Dae Hoon, Im Seong Jae, and Son Hyun Joo. The announcement was made on November 1, accompanied by photos from the table-read, highlighting the impressive lineup.
The series is helmed by director Yoo In Shik, known for his work on Extraordinary Attorney Woo. The script is penned by Heo Da Joong, the writer behind Extreme Job. Furthermore, the drama’s creative team includes Kang Eun Kyung of Dr Romantic and Gyeongseong Creature, adding to the already star-studded roster.
Park Eun Bin, known for her role in The Castaway Diva, returns to Netflix as Eun Chae-ni, the most chaotic resident of Haeseong City. Set in 1999, the series follows her journey through a series of humorous and unexpected events that bestow her with superpowers.
