Actor Hugh Jackman recently joined in on Martha Stewart’s playful critique of Ryan Reynolds’ comedic chops. Martha Stewart had remarked that while Ryan Reynolds can act funny, he isn’t genuinely humorous. This comment was shared by Pop Crave on its X (formerly Twitter) account.
Hugh Jackman, who has co-starred with Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool & Wolverine, responded to the tweet with a cheeky remark, saying, “Finally someone says it.”
In response to Martha’s comment, Ryan Reynolds had humorously disagreed, stating, “I’d disagree with her. But I tried that once. The woman is unexpectedly spry. She really closed the gap after a mile or so.”
Martha Stewart made her comment about Ryan on Bilt Rewards’ Rent Free game show when asked which celebrities she found fun to hang out with. She mentioned that Ryan, despite being a good actor who can act funny, is quite serious in real life and not as humorous as he appears on screen. Martha also noted that Ryan, who is her neighbor, might regain his funniness.
Martha Stewart is currently promoting her new cookbook, “Martha: The Cookbook: 100 Favorite Recipes, with Lessons and Stories from My Kitchen,” which was released on October 22. Additionally, her new documentary, “Martha,” premiered on Netflix this week.
Ryan Reynolds has starred in various comedies such as “National Lampoon’s Van Wilder” (2002), “Waiting” (2005), and “The Proposal” (2009). He has also appeared in “Blade: Trinity” (2004) and “Green Lantern” (2011). Reynolds found significant success with his roles in the superhero films “Deadpool” (2016), “Deadpool 2” (2018), and “Deadpool & Wolverine” (2024).
