Denzel Washington has confirmed his participation in Black Panther 3, marking it as one of his final films before retiring. The acclaimed actor, currently involved in Ridley Scott’s Gladiator 2, discussed his upcoming projects and future plans during an interview with Today Show Australia. Washington stated he will be taking on a pivotal role in the third installment of Marvel’s Black Panther series. He emphasized his focus on collaborating with top filmmakers at this stage of his career, expressing no hesitation about joining the Gladiator sequel. Washington remarked, “For me, it’s about the filmmaker, especially at this point in my career. I am only interested in working with the best. I don’t know how many more films I’m going to make. Probably not that many. I played Othello at 22, now I am playing Othello at 70. After that, I am playing Hannibal. I have also been talking with Steve McQueen about a film. Ryan Coogler is writing a part for me in the next Black Panther. Then I’ll do Othello again and after that King Lear. Then I am going to retire.”
