In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Kevin De Bruyne has officially confirmed that he will leave Manchester City after the conclusion of the current season. The announcement from the legendary midfielder comes as a surprise to many fans and marks the end of a transformative decade for both De Bruyne and the club.
Having joined Manchester City in 2015 from VfL Wolfsburg, the Belgian maestro played a key role in shaping the club’s modern dominance. Over the past ten years, De Bruyne helped City lift six Premier League titles, one UEFA Champions League trophy, and multiple domestic cups, including being an integral part of the historic treble-winning squad in the 2022-23 season.
“Dear Manchester… you probably know where this is going,” De Bruyne shared in an emotional post on X (formerly Twitter). “So, I’ll just say it — these will be my final months as a Manchester City player.
