Nubia is preparing to unveil its latest flagship smartphone, the Z70S Ultra Photographer Edition, with a confirmed launch date of April 28 in China. Ahead of its official debut, the company has showcased the smartphone’s design, highlighting its camera-inspired aesthetics and premium build.
The Nubia Z70S Ultra Photographer Edition will arrive in at least two colour options — black and light brown — both featuring a vegan leather finish that closely resembles professional camera gear. The triple rear camera setup, prominently placed on the back, emphasizes the phone’s photography-focused identity. One of the key highlights of this edition is the 35mm primary lens, hinting at its high-end imaging capabilities.
Although complete hardware details are yet to be confirmed, the Photographer Edition is expected to retain most of the specifications of the original Nubia Z70S Ultra, which was launched in November 2024. That model featured a large 6.85-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 2,000 nits peak brightness. Under the hood, it was powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with up to 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 Pro storage.
Camera specs of the previous model include a 50MP main sensor with a variable aperture ranging from f/1.59 to f/4.0, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 64MP periscope-style telephoto lens, along with an under-display selfie camera. The phone also supports 5G and comes with Android 15 layered with Nubia’s Nebula AIOS skin.
Powering the device is a massive 6,150mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. Additional connectivity features include 4G LTE Wi-Fi 7 Bluetooth 5.4 NFC and a USB Type-C port. With its striking design and focus on photography, the Nubia Z70S Ultra Photographer Edition is likely to attract creators and tech enthusiasts alike.
