Redmi is all set to introduce its next flagship smartphone, the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, in China next week. The announcement was confirmed by Thomas Wang, the General Manager of Redmi, through a post on Weibo. While the exact launch date remains under wraps, the company has officially revealed key specifications of the upcoming smartphone, including a high-resolution 2.5K display and the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor.
The Redmi Turbo 4 Pro is poised to become the first smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s newly released Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. This 4nm octa-core processor is expected to bring a massive leap in performance, delivering up to 31 percent improved CPU power compared to its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. It also supports up to 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, ensuring seamless multitasking and high-speed performance.
Redmi has teased that the Turbo 4 Pro will offer better battery life, refined texture, and superior performance than the existing Redmi Turbo 4. The phone is expected to sport a premium glass body design paired with a metal frame, giving it a high-end look and feel. Speculations suggest the device could be rebranded as the Poco F7 for international markets outside China.
The battery of the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro is rumored to exceed 7,000mAh, making it one of the largest battery capacities seen in a flagship smartphone. This enhancement is aimed at users seeking long-lasting performance without frequent charging.
For reference, the standard Redmi Turbo 4, launched in January, featured a 6.67-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It was powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset and housed a 50MP dual rear camera system alongside a 6,550mAh battery supporting 90W fast charging. The Turbo 4 Pro is expected to bring notable upgrades across the board.
