Motorola Moto Tag Launched in India With Google Find My Device Network Support and UWB Tracking

Date:

Motorola has officially launched its latest Bluetooth-enabled tracker, the Moto Tag, in the Indian market. The device supports Google’s Find My Device network and is designed to help users locate personal belongings with high precision. After making its debut in the US in June 2024, the Moto Tag is now available in India, priced at Rs 2,299 and offered in two attractive color options—Jade Green and Starlight Blue. It will soon be available for purchase on Flipkart and the official Moto India website.

With a compact and lightweight design, the Moto Tag offers a powerful tracking solution for daily essentials like keys wallets purses luggage bikes and even vehicles. It is compatible with smartphones running Android 9 and above and utilizes Bluetooth 5.4 technology to maintain a strong connection with the paired device.

The Moto Tag stands out with its ultra-wideband (UWB) chip support, enabling “Precision Finding” when paired with a UWB-compatible phone. This feature ensures that even if the tracker is offline users can locate their items accurately and quickly.

Designed with practicality in mind, the Moto Tag includes a multi-functional button that can be used to ping a paired smartphone when misplaced or serve as a remote shutter for clicking photos hands-free. It is also IP67-rated for dust and water resistance making it suitable for everyday use in varied environments.

The tracker operates on a replaceable CR2032 battery which can last up to a year before needing a replacement. Additionally Motorola has ensured user privacy by implementing end-to-end encryption for all location data meaning only the device owner can track it.

For enhanced security the Moto Tag offers a manual scanning option to identify unwanted trackers nearby and can alert users if it detects it has been moving with them for a certain period. The lightweight tracker weighs just 7.5g and measures 31.9mm in diameter with an 8mm thickness.

As Bluetooth trackers become increasingly popular in India the Moto Tag enters the market alongside competitors such as Noise Tag 1 and Boat Tag offering unique features and a competitive price point.
