Xiaomi Unveils Civi 5 Pro With Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Chipset and 50MP Front Camera in China

Xiaomi has officially introduced the Civi 5 Pro in China, showcasing the brand’s continued focus on premium design and powerful performance. Launched alongside the Xiaomi 15S Pro, this latest device from the Civi series features a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, a robust 6,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast wired charging, and an elegant 6.55-inch 1.5K micro-curved OLED screen. This display offers a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, Dolby Vision support, and peak brightness of up to 3,200 nits, all wrapped in Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for added durability.

One of the most eye-catching aspects of the Civi 5 Pro is its Leica-engineered triple rear camera system, headlined by a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 800 primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). This is complemented by a 50-megapixel telephoto lens and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter. On the front, the device boasts a 50-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus and an f/2.0 aperture, ideal for high-quality self-portraits and video calls.

The smartphone runs on Xiaomi’s new HyperOS 2.0, built on Android 15, and offers configurations with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. In terms of connectivity, the Civi 5 Pro comes loaded with support for 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NavIC, NFC, Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS, an IR blaster, and USB Type-C.

Xiaomi offers this handset in various color options including Black, Cherry Blossom Pink, Nebula Purple, White, and a unique Iced Americano edition. The special Iced Americano model features coffee grounds fused into the rear panel and differs slightly in dimensions, measuring 7.65mm thick and weighing 181g, whereas the other versions measure 7.45mm and weigh 184g.

As for pricing, the Civi 5 Pro starts at CNY 2,999 (approximately ₹35,700) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The 12GB + 512GB model is priced at CNY 3,299 (around ₹39,300), while the top-tier 16GB + 512GB option costs CNY 3,599 (about ₹42,800). All versions are now available for purchase in China via Xiaomi’s official website.
