Huawei Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Pro Plus Design Officially Teased as Pre-Bookings Begin Ahead of June 11 Launch

Date:

Huawei is gearing up to unveil its latest premium smartphone lineup—the Pura 80 series—on June 11 in China. In anticipation of the big reveal, the company has officially started accepting pre-reservations for both the Huawei Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Pro Plus through its Vmall platform. The reservation window remains open until June 11 at 12 PM local time.

The new flagship devices are confirmed to ship with HarmonyOS 5.0, and are expected to be powered by Huawei’s in-house Kirin 9020 chipset. The Pura 80 Pro+ has been prominently featured in recent promotional teasers, revealing a glossy red finish with a distinctive triangular camera module. This new rear design showcases a larger camera setup compared to last year’s Pura 70 series, which debuted in April 2024.

Huawei has also added a textured pattern within the camera housing of the Pura 80 Pro Plus. The camera array dominates the upper portion of the rear panel, while the handset’s sides are elegantly curved. The volume rocker and power button are placed on the left edge.

Leaked specifications suggest the Pura 80 Pro or Pura 80 Pro+ could sport a quad rear camera configuration. The setup might feature a 50MP main sensor with a variable aperture and 1-inch size, a secondary 50MP 1/1.3-inch sensor with dual focal lengths, a 40MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP color temperature sensor—further emphasizing Huawei’s focus on photography excellence.

With upgraded performance, new design aesthetics, and enhanced imaging hardware, the Huawei Pura 80 series is set to build on the success of the Pura 70 lineup. More information is expected to be announced during the official launch event in China on June 11.
