As the anticipation builds for Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, new leaks have shed light on the specifications of the highly anticipated Galaxy Z Flip 6. Expected to succeed the Galaxy Z Flip 5, this latest iteration of Samsung’s clamshell foldable promises several notable upgrades across its features.
According to recent reports, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor, offering enhanced performance with a maximum clock speed of 3.9GHz. This marks a significant improvement over its predecessor, providing smoother multitasking and gaming experiences.
In terms of display, the device is rumored to retain the 6.7-inch internal AMOLED display found on its predecessor, boasting a high refresh rate of 120Hz and a crisp resolution of 2,640 x 1,080 pixels. The cover display will also remain unchanged at 3.4 inches with a resolution of 720 x 748 pixels, ensuring seamless functionality for quick tasks and notifications.
One of the standout upgrades is in the camera department. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is reported to feature a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a significant enhancement over the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s 12-megapixel main shooter. Additionally, it will retain a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 10-megapixel front-facing camera, albeit without autofocus.
In terms of design and dimensions, leaks suggest that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will maintain a sleek profile, measuring 6.9mm in thickness when open and 14.9mm when folded. It is expected to weigh 187 grams, similar to its predecessor, ensuring portability without compromising on durability.
Battery life is also set to receive a boost with a larger 4,000mAh battery, capable of supporting up to 19 hours of mixed Wi-Fi and LTE usage. Charging speeds, however, are expected to remain at 25W, consistent with the previous model.
