Xiaomi’s highly anticipated flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 15 Pro, is rumored to feature a substantial 5,400mAh battery along with impressive charging capabilities. The upcoming device, expected to succeed last year’s Xiaomi 14 Pro, may include support for 100W wireless fast charging, effectively doubling the wireless charging speed of its predecessor. These details emerged through a tipster’s post on social media, generating significant buzz ahead of the official launch in the coming months as part of the Xiaomi 15 series.
The tipster, Digital Chat Station, shared on the Chinese platform Weibo that the Xiaomi 15 Pro might sport a silicon negative electrode battery, marking a significant upgrade from the 4,800mAh battery in the Xiaomi 14 Pro. In addition to its robust battery, the smartphone is speculated to support 100W wired fast charging. Although this is a slight reduction from the 120W wired charging available on the Xiaomi 14 Pro, the enhancement in wireless charging to 100W is noteworthy.
Further insights suggest that Xiaomi is testing a 120W wired fast charging solution, but has faced challenges related to managing thermal issues. Despite this, the Xiaomi 15 Pro is anticipated to deliver superior wireless charging efficiency.
Rumors also hint at the Xiaomi 15 Pro being equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, with Xiaomi securing the “exclusive first launch rights” for this new processor expected to debut later this year.
