Renewing your UAE residence visa is about to become much simpler and more convenient.
If you’ve ever gone through the process of extending your residence visa, you know how inconvenient it can be to visit a medical center for an examination. The time-consuming trips, long queues, and waiting times often disrupt daily routines and work schedules.
Fortunately, VFS Global has introduced a new service that will significantly ease this process for Dubai residents. Expats holding a UAE residence visa can now renew their visa without stepping out of their homes. The new doorstep medical examination service allows you to arrange your medical check-up from the comfort of your own home via the VFS Global website.
Once you schedule an appointment, you’ll need to prepare the necessary documents, including a valid passport copy, a valid residence permit/visa copy, a passport-sized photo with a white background, and a valid Emirates ID copy.
This convenient service comes at a premium. The doorstep service fee is Dhs426.15, and the total cost, including the government fee for a Category A medical test, form filling medical fee, and VFS service fee, amounts to Dhs850.01.
Currently, this service is available exclusively to Category A UAE residence visa holders, which includes foreign employees with a bachelor’s degree or higher. If you don’t hold a Category A visa, you can still get your medical examination done at VFS Global’s approved centers at Ibn Battuta Mall or Dragon Mart 2.
Atul Marwah, CEO for medical services and special projects at VFS Global, highlighted the significance of this new service. He stated, “This initiative aligns perfectly with VFS Global’s commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences and reflects the EHS’ vision for a more accessible and convenient healthcare system. We believe this service will be a valuable addition for expat residents in Dubai and other emirates seeking to renew their visas.”
