Xiaomi 17 Series Launch Date Revealed Xiaomi 17 Pro and Pro Max Design Teased

Date:

Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch of its highly anticipated Xiaomi 17 series, including the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, set to debut in China on September 25, 2025 at 7pm local time (4:30pm IST). The new lineup comes with cutting-edge features, premium design upgrades, and the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset for a powerful performance boost across all models.

The Xiaomi 17 Pro and Pro Max models will introduce a unique secondary display on the rear, called the Magic Back Screen, integrated with the Leica-backed camera module. This rear display will show time, notifications, and animated themes, enhancing both functionality and style. The base Xiaomi 17 will feature a classic Leica camera setup with a rectangular module featuring rounded edges.

All phones in the series are powered by Xiaomi HyperOS 3, offering a smooth and optimized user experience. Notably, Xiaomi is replacing the previous Ultra branding with Pro Max to directly compete with Apple’s iPhone 17 lineup, which includes the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Pre-orders for the Xiaomi 17 series are now open in China, with no expected price increase over last year’s Xiaomi 15 series. The complete series is expected to deliver flagship-level performance, premium design, and enhanced photography capabilities without a higher price tag.

With the launch approaching, Xiaomi fans can expect one of the most exciting smartphone releases of 2025, blending innovative design, high-performance hardware, and cutting-edge features across the entire series.
