Pop icon Taylor Swift will join the celebrations at Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s wedding in Montecito, California, but she won’t be staying at a hotel. Instead, the singer has arranged for a private rental home near the wedding venue for security and privacy, according to sources close to the event. Swift’s security team reportedly believes this is a safer choice compared to a traditional hotel stay.
The wedding will be an intimate two-day ceremony featuring close family, friends, and high-profile celebrity guests. While Swift is confirmed to attend, it remains uncertain whether her fiancé, NFL star Travis Kelce, will be present. His team, the Kansas City Chiefs, is scheduled to play against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, making his appearance unlikely.
Despite Kelce’s game-day commitments, Swift is determined to stand by her longtime friend. When Gomez first announced her engagement, Swift humorously commented that she would serve as the flower girl. Gomez also celebrated Swift’s own engagement to Kelce with a heartfelt message online.
Expected attendees include Gomez’s Only Murders in the Building co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short, as well as some of Benny Blanco’s music collaborators. However, reports suggest Meryl Streep will not be part of the guest list.
Gomez previously marked her bachelorette party in Cabo San Lucas, enjoying a yacht getaway with close friends like Raquelle Stevens, Ashley Cook, and Courtney Lopez. Meanwhile, Blanco celebrated in style at Resorts World Las Vegas, staying in the luxurious Chairman Villa, which costs $25,000 a night.
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s love story began in late 2023, and the couple confirmed their relationship that December. After a year of dating, they announced their engagement on December 12, 2024, with Gomez posting a photo of her ring captioned, “Forever begins now.” Their upcoming wedding in Montecito promises to be one of the most glamorous celebrity events of 2025.
