Sony WH-1000XM6 Wireless Headphones Launch in India With Advanced Noise Cancellation and 40-Hour Battery

Sony has officially launched the WH-1000XM6 wireless headphones in India, featuring advanced active noise cancellation (ANC) and up to 40 hours of battery life. Globally introduced in May 2025, these over-ear headphones come equipped with 30mm dynamic drivers, 12 omnidirectional microphones, and Sony’s HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3, providing premium audio performance.

The headphones are designed for comfort and style, with foldable ear cups, an asymmetrical vegan leather headband, and carbon fibre composite domes. They are compatible with the Sony Sound Connect app for custom EQ settings and support popular streaming platforms including Amazon Music, Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.3, Bluetooth LE Audio, and support for SBC, AAC, LDAC, and LC3 audio formats. The Adaptive NC Optimiser and Auto Ambient Sound mode automatically adjust to the user’s surroundings, while Edge-AI and DSEE Extreme enhance compressed audio. Gamers benefit from Game EQ and movie enthusiasts can enjoy 360 Reality Audio Upmix for Cinema.

The WH-1000XM6 includes a dedicated mute switch, intuitive touch controls, and a six-mic AI beamforming system for crystal-clear calls. Battery life reaches 30 hours with ANC on and 40 hours with ANC off, with a 3.5-hour full charge via USB Type-C. Available in Black, Platinum Silver, and Midnight Blue, the headphones are priced at Rs. 39,990 in India and available at Sony Centre, ShopAtSC.com, Amazon, Croma, and Reliance Digital.
