The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has officially revealed its presenter lineup for the BAFTA Awards 2026 and Indian cinema icon Alia Bhatt is among the distinguished names announced. The ceremony will take place on Sunday February 22 at London’s Royal Festival Hall with actor Alan Cumming set to host the prestigious night.
Alia Bhatt’s inclusion places her alongside an impressive international roster featuring Cillian Murphy Kate Hudson Glenn Close and several other acclaimed performers from across the global film industry. The announcement highlights BAFTA’s continued commitment to celebrating cinematic talent from around the world and recognising voices that have shaped contemporary storytelling.
According to the British Academy the presenter list includes celebrated actors filmmakers and creatives such as Alicia Vikander Bryan Cranston Ethan Hawke Gillian Anderson Kerry Washington Maggie Gyllenhaal Michael B Jordan Monica Bellucci Riz Ahmed Stormzy and Warwick Davis among many others. The diverse lineup reflects the breadth of the global creative community coming together for one of the most anticipated award ceremonies of the year.
Ahead of the main event the BAFTA red carpet will be hosted by Clara Amfo and Ali Plumb offering live coverage and interviews while DJ Neev Spencer will handle music duties. Emma Baehr Executive Director of Awards and Content at BAFTA shared that the organisation is thrilled to welcome such an accomplished group of presenters representing excellence in film and the wider creative arts.
The BAFTA Awards 2026 will be broadcast from 7pm BST and streamed internationally across multiple platforms allowing audiences worldwide to tune in. Alia Bhatt’s role as presenter follows the footsteps of other Indian stars such as Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone who have previously appeared at the ceremony strengthening India’s growing presence on the global awards stage.
On the work front Alia Bhatt was last seen in Jigra and is currently filming two major upcoming projects including YRF’s Alpha and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War where she stars alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
