Amy Schumer has long been transparent about her body transformation and wellness journey. She previously revealed in interviews that she underwent liposuction in 2022 and experimented with weight loss medications like Ozempic and Mounjaro.
However, Schumer shared that her early experience with Ozempic was difficult. During her appearance on The Howard Stern Show, she said, “I tried Ozempic a few years ago, but it made me extremely sick. I had no energy and couldn’t even play with my son.” She explained that her GDF15 gene made the medication’s side effects too intense.
Despite these challenges, Schumer has since found a healthier balance through hormone therapy (estrogen and progesterone) for premenopause and continued use of Mounjaro under medical supervision. She expressed in a candid Instagram post, “I’m finally feeling great and seeing real results. My skin, hair, and energy are better than ever.”
