Apple Set to Launch New Retail Outlets in India and UAE to Strengthen Global Presence

Date:

Apple is preparing to significantly expand its retail footprint in India and the United Arab Emirates later this year, as confirmed by CEO Tim Cook during a recent earnings call. This development follows the tech giant’s entry into the Saudi Arabian market last month with the rollout of its official online store and mobile application.

Apple aims to increase direct customer engagement by introducing new brick-and-mortar locations, especially in emerging markets where the demand for premium smartphones and devices is growing rapidly. India, one of Apple’s fastest expanding markets, is a key focus in the company’s broader strategy to increase its international presence.

According to sources, Apple may launch new outlets at key locations including Sky City Mall in Borivali Mumbai Phoenix Mall of Asia in Yelahanka Bengaluru Kopa Mall in Pune and DLF Mall of India in Noida. These upcoming stores will join Apple’s existing Indian retail locations in Mumbai’s BKC and Delhi’s Saket which opened in 2023. Over the past few months the company has been actively hiring staff for these new stores in preparation for the anticipated openings.

Tim Cook stated that Apple sees massive potential in markets like India and the UAE where physical retail stores allow more people to experience the full range of Apple products firsthand. He also mentioned that Apple had recently welcomed customers to a new store in Osaka Japan reinforcing the company’s commitment to global growth.

In the third quarter of this year Apple reported a revenue of 9404 billion dollars representing a nearly 10 percent increase compared to the same period last year. iPhone sales saw a robust 13 percent year-over-year rise while Mac sales increased by 15 percent. The services segment which includes Apple subscriptions also grew 13 percent. These figures demonstrate the increasing global demand for Apple’s ecosystem and justify its investment in expanding retail operations.

By opening more physical locations Apple not only enhances accessibility to its devices but also builds stronger relationships with customers through personalized services support and immersive product experiences.
