Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 6-7 pieces of king fish
- 3-4 green chillies, chopped
- 3-4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- ½ tsp turmeric (haldi)
- 3 tsp oil
- Water as needed
- 1 cup fresh coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
Method to Make Sindhi Fish Curry
- Wash the fish pieces thoroughly and marinate with salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, and oil. Rub well and set aside for 1 hour.
- Prepare a smooth paste by blending coriander leaves, green chillies, and garlic in a mixer grinder.
- Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the marinated fish until golden on both sides.
- In another pan, add oil and the prepared coriander paste with some water. Cook for a few minutes until fragrant.
- Add coriander powder, red chilli powder, salt, and tomato puree. Adjust water as needed and cook until the gravy comes to a boil.
- Arrange the fried fish pieces in a serving bowl and pour the hot gravy over them. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
