Black Coffee for Weight Loss: Best Time to Drink, Ideal Daily Intake, and Who Should Avoid It

But its potential weight-loss benefits have made it a trending choice among fitness enthusiasts. Because black coffee is naturally low in calories and rich in antioxidants like chlorogenic acid, it may support fat metabolism, stabilise glucose levels, and help reduce cravings when consumed mindfully. Its appetite-suppressing effect and energy-boosting properties also make it a popular pre-workout drink, enhancing stamina and improving fat-burning efficiency. Still, coffee alone cannot produce weight loss without balanced nutrition and an active lifestyle.

According to health experts, black coffee supports weight management through several mechanisms. It triggers thermogenesis, raising the body’s heat production and leading to increased calorie burn. It promotes fat oxidation, helping convert stored fat into usable energy. It also supports lipolysis, the metabolic process that breaks down fat reserves without affecting energy levels negatively.
