Dell is reportedly planning to bring back its iconic XPS laptop branding, just a year after retiring it in favor of the Dell, Dell Pro, and Dell Pro Max lineup. Sources suggest the company has already showcased an updated XPS range during pre-CES 2026 briefings, though no official announcement has been made yet. The possible revival signals Dell’s recognition of the strong brand loyalty and recognition associated with XPS among both consumers and professional users. The new models could feature Intel’s next-generation Core Ultra 300 Panther Lake processors, and may also include options powered by AMD and Qualcomm chips, continuing Dell’s multi-platform strategy.
Dell originally retired the XPS brand in 2025 when it launched the Dell 14 Premium and Dell 16 Premium laptops, replacing the XPS 14 and XPS 16 in its consumer lineup. The XPS 13, last refreshed in 2024, offered Intel Core Ultra Lunar Lake processors, AI-focused hardware, up to 26 hours of battery life, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, multiple display options including Full-HD+, Quad-HD+, and OLED touchscreen variants, Intel Core Ultra 9 processors, up to 32GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 2TB NVMe SSD storage. It also featured Intel AI Boost NPU support, a dedicated Copilot key, and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity. Dell’s CES 2026 announcement could reveal official pricing, specifications, and availability for the revived XPS series.
