Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has officially shared the operational schedule for the Dubai Metro during Ramadan 2026 giving commuters clarity ahead of the Holy Month. With Ramadan expected to begin on Thursday February 19 the authority confirmed that metro services will continue to run on their standard timetable throughout the month.
Both the Red Line and Green Line will maintain their regular daily schedules ensuring uninterrupted travel across the city for residents workers and visitors observing Ramadan. From Monday to Thursday metro services will run from 5am until midnight while Friday services will extend until 1am the following day. On Saturdays trains will operate from 5am to midnight and on Sundays from 8am to midnight.
The Dubai Tram will also continue with its usual timings during Ramadan operating from 6am to 1am from Monday to Saturday and from 9am to 1am on Sundays. Passengers planning bus journeys or marine transport including abras and water taxis are advised to check updated schedules using the S’hail app which provides real-time route and timing information.
In addition to transport updates the RTA has confirmed revised public parking tariff hours for Ramadan. Paid parking will apply from 8am to 6pm and again from 8pm to midnight while multi-storey parking facilities will remain operational 24 hours a day.
Customer Happiness Centres across Dubai will also follow adjusted Ramadan hours with select centres operating reduced timings and Umm Ramool continuing its 24/7 service. These updates come alongside Dubai’s announcement of flexible working hours and remote work options for public sector employees during Ramadan making daily commuting more manageable throughout the month.
