Pinwheel Aloo Paratha is a fun and tasty twist on the traditional stuffed paratha. Unlike the usual large-sized aloo paratha served for breakfast, these pinwheel versions are smaller, bite-sized, and perfect to enjoy as a light snack or evening tea-time treat. With a crispy golden texture on the outside and a spicy potato filling inside, they are a delightful option for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients for Pinwheel Aloo Paratha
- 1 cup whole wheat flour (atta)
- Water as required
- 2 boiled potatoes
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 green chilli finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves chopped
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- A pinch of salt
- Ghee for frying
Method to Make Pinwheel Aloo Paratha
- In a mixing bowl, add whole wheat flour and gradually add water to knead into a smooth dough. Cover and rest the dough for a few minutes.
- Prepare the stuffing by combining mashed boiled potatoes with chopped onion, coriander leaves, green chilli, and all the powdered spices. Mix well.
- Take a small portion of the dough and roll it into a thin round paratha. Since these are mini parathas, make them smaller in size compared to the traditional version.
- Place a portion of the potato mixture in the center and fold the dough carefully. Roll again into a pinwheel shape.
- Heat a tawa or pan on low-medium flame, brush it with ghee, and cook the pinwheel parathas until golden brown on both sides.
- Serve hot with chutney, curd, or pickle and enjoy your delicious homemade pinwheel aloo parathas.
These bite-sized parathas make a perfect snack for parties, kids’ lunch boxes, or even as a quick breakfast idea.
