As Dubai temperatures rise this summer, Emirates is offering a cool and delicious gesture to travelers flying out of the city during the Eid Al Adha holidays. The airline has launched a free ice cream initiative at Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport (DXB), offering a sweet treat for passengers navigating the summer travel rush.
Running from Friday June 6 to Sunday July 20 2025, Emirates will station four vibrant red-striped carts throughout the departure zones of Terminal 3. These carts will serve complimentary ice cream and sorbet every Friday Saturday and Sunday between 12pm and 6pm.
Travelers will be able to choose from a refreshing selection that includes mango chocolate or strawberry ice cream along with fruity passionfruit and raspberry sorbets. This limited-time offering is part of Emirates’ effort to enhance the customer experience during peak holiday seasons.
But the ice cream carts aren’t the only sweet surprise awaiting passengers. Dubai’s famous dessert brand FIX Dessert Chocolatier known for its viral pistachio-kunafa chocolate has also set up a summer pop-up at DXB Terminal 3 which will remain open until September. It’s the perfect stop for those craving a last-minute treat before takeoff.
Emirates is also encouraging travelers to arrive at the airport well in advance to avoid delays during the busy Eid Al Adha period. The airline recommends arriving three hours before the flight departure time passing through immigration about 90 minutes prior and reaching the boarding gate an hour before departure.
For added convenience Emirates advises passengers to take advantage of its remote and early check-in options especially during the first nine days of June when airport traffic is expected to peak.
In addition to sweet treats Emirates passengers can also enjoy other complimentary perks such as airport buggy services and onboard activity packs. As the summer season kicks off these thoughtful extras ensure a more enjoyable travel experience from the moment passengers step into the airport.
