Fresh Green Pea and Mint Hummus Dip Recipe for Entertaining and Snacking

Green pea and mint hummus is a refreshing twist on the classic chickpea version making it perfect for quick snacks and party platters. This smooth and vibrant dip combines peas mint lemon and tahini to create a light and flavourful spread that goes wonderfully with pita bread crackers or toasted bread. It requires no advance preparation and can be ready in just a few minutes making it ideal for busy days when you want something healthy and delicious on the table.

To prepare this dip start by boiling fresh or frozen peas in salted water for a couple of minutes until tender. Once boiled strain and rinse them under cold water to retain their bright green colour. Blend the peas with mint leaves garlic a little of the reserved cooking liquid tahini and lemon juice until the mixture comes together. Add just enough water to adjust the texture without making it too thin. Season with salt and blend again until the hummus is creamy but still has a slight texture that gives it a fresh bite.

Spoon the hummus into a serving bowl and finish with a drizzle of olive oil a dusting of paprika and a sprig of mint to bring out the fresh aromas. Serve it chilled or at room temperature as a dip with pita chips crackers or vegetable sticks. Whether it is for a weekend gathering or a wholesome weekday snack this pea and mint hummus is a crowd pleasing addition to your menu.
