Golden Globes 2026 Nominations Unveiled: Adolescence and The White Lotus Dominate the Race

Date:

The anticipation for the 2026 Golden Globe Awards has intensified as the full list of nominations is now out, officially launching Hollywood’s awards season. Announced by actors Skye P Marshall and Marlon Wayans on December 8, this year’s lineup reflects the Globes’ increasing evolution, with the ceremony now honouring 28 categories — including a brand-new annual award for Best Podcast. The 83rd edition of the ceremony will take place on Sunday, January 11, with comedian Nikki Glaser returning as host after her widely praised performance last year.

In the film category, One Battle After Another emerged as the most-nominated title, securing nine major nods across acting, direction and screenplay. Close behind is the acclaimed Norwegian drama Sentimental Value with eight nominations, while Sinners followed with seven. On the television side, HBO’s hit series The White Lotus leads with six nominations for its ensemble cast and storytelling. Netflix’s Adolescence also had a strong showing with five nominations, while Only Murders in the Building and Severance each earned four nods.

The expanded slate highlights global storytelling, diversity across genres and the rising prominence of digital formats such as podcasting. The Golden Globes 2026 promises a star-packed evening, broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+, celebrating excellence across film, television, animation and audio entertainment.
