Perfect for monsoon days, these samosas are crunchy, flavorful, and light enough to enjoy without worry.
Ingredients
- Boiled Kabuli chana – 1.5 cups
- Crumbled paneer – 1/4 cup
- Garlic – 1 tsp
- Capsicum – 1/4 cup
- Onion – 1/4 cup
- Fresh coriander – as needed
- Salt – to taste
- Red chilli powder – 1.5 tsp
- Ajwain – 1 tsp
- Jeera powder – 1.5 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1.5 tsp
- Black pepper powder – 1.5 tsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tsp
- Rotis – as required (day-old rotis work best)
- Maida and water paste – for sealing
Method
- Start by ensuring that the chana is properly boiled and cooled.
- In a large mixing bowl, add chana, paneer, onion, garlic, coriander, and capsicum.
- Mix in red chilli powder, ajwain, jeera powder, coriander powder, pepper powder, and salt. Mash the chana slightly so the mixture becomes crumbly.
- Add lemon juice for freshness and moisture.
- Cut each roti into two halves. Take one half, fold it into a cone, and fill with the prepared mixture. Seal the edges using maida-water paste.
- Repeat the process for all samosas and brush them with a light layer of oil.
- Place in an air fryer at 180°C for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway for even crispiness.
Once golden and crisp, serve these protein-packed samosas hot with a refreshing mint-curd dip. These air-fried delights are a perfect guilt-free monsoon snack.
