Although the company has not officially confirmed the device, a trusted tipster has shared key details suggesting notable upgrades over the original HMD Pulse launched in 2024.

According to the leak, the HMD Pulse 2 could feature a large 6.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, offering an improved viewing experience for everyday use. The handset is tipped to run on the Unisoc T7250 processor and is expected to ship with Android 15 out of the box.

In terms of cameras, the HMD Pulse 2 may come equipped with a dual rear setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front, it is likely to sport an 8-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

The smartphone is said to pack 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, with support for microSD card expansion up to 256GB. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner is expected to handle biometric authentication. Powering the device could be a 5,000mAh battery with support for 20W fast charging.

Additional features tipped for the HMD Pulse 2 include an IP54-rated build for dust and splash resistance, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC support, and a customizable hardware button that users can assign to specific actions. Connectivity features such as modern network support are also expected.

While pricing and launch timelines remain under wraps, the HMD Pulse 2 is anticipated to offer meaningful upgrades over its predecessor, making it a strong contender in the budget smartphone segment once officially unveiled.
