Honor has officially taken its latest flagship, the Honor Magic 8 Pro, to global markets after its initial China launch, bringing a powerhouse device equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The global edition features a robust 7,100mAh battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging, offering slightly toned-down power specs compared to the Chinese model, which includes a 7,200mAh battery and 120W wired charging.
The smartphone features a 6.71-inch LTPO OLED display with a crisp 1.5K resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate, delivering peak HDR brightness of 6,000 nits. It runs on MagicOS 10 based on Android 16, paired with the Adreno 840 GPU, and offers configurations of up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the 200-megapixel primary camera featuring 3.7x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. This is complemented by a 50-megapixel advanced sensor and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens. On the front, users get a 50-megapixel selfie camera supported by a 3D depth sensor for enhanced facial detail and security.
Built with IP68, IP69, and IP69K durability ratings, the Honor Magic 8 Pro ensures strong protection against water, dust, and extreme conditions. Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, GPS, USB-C, and the device features an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
In Malaysia, the global variant starts at RM 4,599 for the 12GB + 512GB model, while the higher 16GB + 1TB version is priced at RM 5,199. Color options include Black, Sunrise Gold, and Sky Cyan.
