Honor’s futuristic Robot Phone, initially teased earlier this year, is reportedly moving closer to commercial release. According to a leak from China, the device is expected to enter mass production in the first half of 2026. The smartphone stands out with its innovative robotic arm and gimbal-mounted camera, capable of automatically tracking subjects for smooth video recording. When not in use, the gimbal folds neatly into the camera module. Honor has confirmed that the phone will be officially unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona, showcasing its advanced robotics and AI-driven imaging features. The device will be available in Black White and Gold color options with glass and leather back variants.
The Robot Phone was first hinted at during the launch of the Honor Magic 8 series and later displayed at the Honor User Carnival in China. The smartphone features a flat frame with rounded edges a hole-punch front camera and a retractable robotic arm integrated into the rear camera setup. Advanced motion tracking and multi-modal intelligence aim to deliver professional-grade video stabilization directly from the device, combining next-generation robotics with cutting-edge imaging technology. Industry insiders suggest the commercial release will follow shortly after the MWC 2026 presentation, making it one of the most anticipated smartphone launches of the year.
