Honor has officially confirmed that the highly anticipated Honor X70 smartphone will debut in China on July 15. The company announced through its Weibo channel and official store that pre-reservations are now open for customers eager to secure the upcoming X-series model ahead of its official reveal. The Honor X70 will arrive with significant battery and charging improvements over its predecessor, the X60.
According to details shared so far, the Honor X70 will be equipped with an impressive 8300mAh Qinghai Lake battery, a huge jump from the 5800mAh cell found in the previous model. This robust battery will support both 80W wired and 80W wireless fast charging, promising quicker top-ups and extended usage time. The new device is expected to ship with MagicOS 9.0 out of the box and is likely to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset for reliable mid-range performance.
Teasers also reveal that the Honor X70 will be available in multiple colours including black, green, red, and white, all featuring a sleek circular rear camera island. Rumoured specs suggest a 6.79-inch display with 1.5K resolution, a 50MP main rear camera with OIS, and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies. Storage options could include 256GB and 512GB variants paired with 12GB RAM as standard. Depending on storage size, the phone may weigh between 193g and 199g and measure as slim as 7.7mm thick.
This launch marks a major upgrade over the Honor X60, which launched last year with more modest charging capabilities and battery size. Fans can expect improved performance, a larger battery, and faster charging when the Honor X70 hits the shelves later this month.
