Made with soaked sabudana (tapioca pearls), milk, sugar, and flavored with cardamom and saffron, this kheer is creamy, aromatic, and quick to prepare. Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sabudana (tapioca pearls)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp mixed dry fruits (almonds, cashews, raisins)

Method

  1. Soak Sabudana: Rinse and soak the sabudana in water for 30 minutes.
  2. Cook Sabudana: In a saucepan, cook the soaked sabudana in a cup of water until soft and translucent.
  3. Add Milk and Flavorings: Pour in milk, sugar, and cardamom powder. Stir continuously and cook on low heat until the mixture thickens.
  4. Simmer and Garnish: Bring the kheer to a gentle boil, then turn off the heat. Garnish with chopped dry fruits and serve warm or chilled.
