Huawei has officially introduced the Mate X7 to global markets, expanding the reach of its latest book-style foldable smartphone after its China debut. The premium device is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 9030 Pro processor and runs on HarmonyOS 6.0, delivering a non-Android experience designed around performance efficiency and seamless multitasking.
The Mate X7 features a large 8-inch LTPO OLED inner screen that unfolds for immersive viewing, while the 6.49-inch outer display offers a curved design with ultra-high brightness for comfortable everyday use. Both screens support adaptive refresh rates for smoother visuals and improved battery efficiency, making the device suitable for productivity and entertainment alike.
Photography is another strong focus, with a triple rear camera system led by a 50-megapixel RYYB primary sensor with optical image stabilisation and variable aperture. This is paired with a 40-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera. Huawei has also included two 8-megapixel front cameras, one on each display, ensuring consistent selfie and video call quality in both folded and unfolded modes.
Durability has been enhanced with an IP58 and IP59 rating for dust and water resistance, along with Kunlun glass protection on the outer screen. Powering the device is a battery exceeding 5,300mAh with support for fast wired and wireless charging, aimed at keeping up with demanding daily usage.
In Europe, the Huawei Mate X7 is priced at EUR 2,099 for the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration, positioning it firmly in the ultra-premium foldable segment.
