Smartphone brand iQOO is gearing up to launch its much-anticipated iQOO 15 in India this November. After its successful debut in China, the company’s flagship device is expected to introduce major design and performance upgrades, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a 7,000mAh battery, and the all-new Dynamic Glow UI running on OriginOS 6, which is based on Android 16.
A New Design Era with OriginOS 6
iQOO’s CEO Nipun Marya recently teased the launch on X (formerly Twitter), hinting at a possible November 27 release date. The teaser post showed a spinning wheel animation that paused briefly on this date, fueling speculation that it marks the official India launch day.
The post also revealed details about OriginOS 6, which brings the company’s Dynamic Glow interface — a fresh, fluid design with light transitions, blur effects, and improved animations. The UI offers redesigned home screens, lock screens, and widgets with curved edges, resembling Apple’s Liquid Glass design philosophy.
Another standout feature is Atomic Island, inspired by Apple’s Dynamic Island, allowing users to receive real-time notifications, control music, and manage tasks like stopwatch functions directly from the top of the screen.
Power and Performance
The Chinese variant of the iQOO 15 showcases a 6.85-inch Samsung M14 AMOLED 2K display (1440 × 3168 pixels) with up to 144Hz refresh rate and 508 ppi pixel density. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset paired with an Adreno 840 GPU, offering exceptional gaming and multitasking performance. The phone is expected to come with up to 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage.
Camera and Battery
For photography, the iQOO 15 sports a triple 50MP rear camera setup including a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with up to 100x digital zoom and a 50MP ultra-wide camera, along with a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
Powering the device is a massive 7,000mAh battery that supports 100W wired and 40W wireless fast charging, ensuring a full day’s use on a single charge. The handset measures 163.65 × 76.80 × 8.10mm and weighs 221g, striking a balance between premium design and durability.
While official pricing and configuration details for the Indian market remain under wraps, iQOO is expected to make announcements closer to launch day. With its cutting-edge specs, next-gen processor, and striking design, the iQOO 15 is poised to be one of the most powerful Android flagships of the year.
