The Grand Tour is officially returning with a fresh lineup and the announcement has arrived with classic Jeremy Clarkson humour. Prime Video confirmed the reboot of the popular motoring series with new presenters and shared a humorous video showing Clarkson reviewing presenter applications. The clip quickly gained attention for its playful jabs witty commentary and surprise selections.
In the video Jeremy Clarkson flips through CVs of hopeful presenters openly dismissing several candidates for amusing reasons. One applicant was rejected instantly for sporting a full beard while another named James May was humorously turned down with Clarkson calling him dull. The tone remained lighthearted as Clarkson joked his way through the selection process clearly enjoying the moment.
Things took a turn when Clarkson reviewed the CV of Thomas Holland one half of the popular automotive YouTube channel Throttle House. Impressed by his confident personality Clarkson approved him immediately. Another standout moment came with the appearance of Francis Bourgeois who Clarkson instantly recognised as the famous train enthusiast from the internet. Delighted by his unique charm and personality Clarkson stamped his approval without hesitation.
The final selection was completed with James Engelsman also from Throttle House whose sharp humour won Clarkson over instantly. With that the new Grand Tour hosts were confirmed as Francis Bourgeois James Engelsman and Thomas Holland. Together they will lead the next chapter of the iconic motoring show.
Francis Bourgeois described joining the show as stepping into very big shoes comparing it humorously to running in oversized boots. James Engelsman expressed excitement about working with Thomas Holland on a larger global platform while welcoming Francis as the missing ingredient. Thomas Holland admitted initial doubts about replacing legendary hosts but is ready to embrace the challenge.
The previous hosts Jeremy Clarkson Richard Hammond and James May stepped away after more than two decades believing the format needed new energy. The reboot will feature a six episode global adventure spanning locations such as Angola Malaysia and California focusing on performance cars road trips and automotive culture worldwide.
