American singer and songwriter Joe Jonas has addressed the viral rumours surrounding him after a concert clip sparked false claims of drug use. The 36-year-old Jonas Brothers member broke his silence in an interview with Esquire, clarifying that he has never used cocaine or any other substance in his life.
The controversy started when fans circulated a video from the JONAS20: Greetings from Your Hometown Tour, showing Joe adjusting his nose mid-performance. Some users online speculated that he was snorting cocaine onstage. Responding to the gossip with humour, Joe wrote online, “lol you never had a booger?” emphasizing that the moment was completely misunderstood.
In his recent interview, Joe Jonas stated, “I’ve never touched cocaine in my life. If I did, I’d probably be more discreet than doing it onstage.” His straightforward statement has since gone viral, gaining support from fans who appreciate his transparency.
Beyond addressing the rumour, Joe also reflected on his personal life following his divorce from British actor Sophie Turner in 2024. The couple, who share two daughters—Willa, 5, and Delphine, 3—remain focused on co-parenting. Joe shared that walking his daughters to their first day of school in London was an emotional experience that reminded him of life’s simpler joys.
Talking about his busy tour schedule with brothers Kevin and Nick, Joe admitted that dating while performing around the world isn’t easy. “Five shows in a row makes it tough to meet people,” he said, adding that social media sometimes helps him connect casually through apps like Instagram and TikTok.
When asked about his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift’s latest album The Life of a Showgirl, Joe kept things professional, calling her “the biggest artist in the world right now” and saying that the songs he’s heard are “catchy and well-made.”
With his honest remarks and light-hearted attitude, Joe Jonas continues to win fans over by staying authentic and unbothered amid viral rumours
