Lava has introduced the Agni 4 smartphone in India as the refreshed successor to the Agni 3, bringing notable upgrades in design performance and software experience. The device features a 6.67-inch flat AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 2,400 nits peak brightness. Built with an aluminium alloy frame and matte AG glass back the phone also includes Corning Gorilla Glass protection an IP64 rating and a reinforced Super Anti-Drop Diamond Frame for added durability. Lava has also integrated Wet Touch Control to ensure better screen responsiveness even with damp hands.
Powering the handset is the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor paired with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. According to the brand the chipset delivers an AnTuTu v10 score exceeding 1.4 million. The phone also includes a VC Liquid Cooling system with a 4,300 sq mm heat dissipation area to maintain stable thermals during extended usage. Running on clean stock Android 15 the Agni 4 is committed to three years of Android version updates and four years of security patches with a zero-bloatware experience.
A major highlight of the device is Lava’s new AI system called Vayu AI which enables conversational learning and voice-controlled system functions. Users also get dedicated AI agents such as AI Math Teacher AI English Teacher AI Horoscope AI Text Assistant and an AI Image Generator. The handset further includes features like Circle to Search an in-display fingerprint sensor face unlock and a customisable Action Key offering over 100 shortcut combinations. Connectivity options include 5G 4G LTE Wi-Fi 6E Bluetooth 5.4 USB 3.2 Type-C and an IR blaster. Completing the setup is a 5,000mAh battery with 66W fast charging support claimed to reach 50 percent in 19 minutes.
The Lava Agni 4 is priced at Rs 22,999 for its single 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model. The brand has stated this is introductory pricing with bank offers included. The smartphone will be available in Phantom Black and Lunar Mist colour variants and sales begin on Amazon from November 25 at 12pm IST.
