The highly anticipated Lava Blaze Dragon smartphone is officially set to launch in India on July 25 at 12 PM IST, according to an Amazon microsite, which also confirms its availability on the e-commerce platform. Alongside this, Lava is also expected to unveil another handset in the same month, the Lava Blaze AMOLED 2, though its launch date remains unconfirmed.
The Amazon listing reveals the Blaze Dragon in a striking gold colour variant, showcasing a rectangular rear camera housing. This new smartphone is confirmed to feature a 50-megapixel dual rear camera system enhanced by AI capabilities. Meanwhile, tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) has shared live images of the phone’s black variant, highlighting a unique rainbow-finished rear camera module.
Under the hood, the Lava Blaze Dragon is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, paired with 128GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. It is also tipped to run on stock Android 15, offering a clean and fluid software experience. As per X user Pratik Tandon (@pratik_tandon), the device may arrive in 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB RAM and storage variants.
On the front, users can expect an 8-megapixel selfie camera, while the device may pack a 5,000mAh battery supported by 18W wired charging. The design, features, and software position the Blaze Dragon as a solid offering in the budget smartphone segment.
Lava is also preparing to introduce the Lava Blaze AMOLED 2, expected to succeed the previously launched Blaze AMOLED 5G. The predecessor features a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, 33W fast charging, 6.67-inch 120Hz curved AMOLED display, and a 64-megapixel dual rear camera, indicating that the upcoming model could come with similar or improved specifications.
