Lava has introduced a new budget smartphone to the Indian market with the launch of the Lava Shark 2 4G. Designed for everyday users this handset focuses on long battery life smooth performance and impressive camera features without increasing the price tag. It comes as a successor to the original Lava Shark which arrived earlier this year.
The smartphone features a 6.75 inch HD Plus display offering a 120Hz refresh rate for responsive scrolling and better viewing. A punch hole cutout at the top houses the front camera making the screen more immersive for entertainment and browsing. It runs on Android 15 and Lava has assured one major OS upgrade along with two years of security support.
Powered by the octa core Unisoc T7250 chipset the Lava Shark 2 4G includes 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. With the virtual RAM feature the memory can be extended up to 8GB for smoother multitasking. The device is backed by a strong 5000mAh battery with 18W charging via USB Type C but the retail package includes a 10W adapter.
Photography is handled by a 50 megapixel AI enhanced rear camera that ensures better clarity for photos and videos. On the front users get an 8 megapixel selfie camera for video calls and social media pictures. The phone is IP54 rated offering protection against dust and light splashes adding durability to its budget focused design.
Lava Shark 2 4G is available in two colour finishes Aurora Gold and Eclipse Grey. It is priced at Rs 6999 for the single 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant and will be accessible through offline retail stores across India. Lava confirms doorstep after sales service making support more convenient for buyers.
